confession time

I think I have a bit of a problem. A friend this morning encouraged me to divulge this secret addiction through this forum. Maybe she was hoping I could find help.

I cannot stop playing Lego games on Wii.

The first instance was about a year ago. Someone gave us Indiana Jones Lego. Who knows why I turned it on, but I got sucked in. Seriously, like over four hours later, I tore myself away and went to bed.

And then, I avoided that game. I hid it behind a bunch of things. I didn't even look at it. Because I knew, once I started, I couldn't stop.

Here and there, I've played Lego Star Wars with the kids, but I've been able to keep myself away from it fairly successfully.

Alas, this Christmas, (at my suggestion) Owen received Harry Potter Lego Years 1-4.

Last night, I put Owen to bed, hurriedly. Then I rushed out to the living room and started my own game of Harry Potter Lego. I started at 7:45 pm.

I went to bed at 1:45 am.

I know. It's not healthy. I might need help.

  1. Okay, I have the same problem. I get to about 96% and have to look up hints online. It makes me so happy to see that the game is 100% complete because I feel like I've accomplished something even if what I've accomplished is ~20 hours of wasted time.

I haven't started my Christmas present yet (Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7) because of other commitments that needed finished but when I do I know it'll be pretty much non-stop. I'll let you borrow it when I'm done? ;)

  2. On a side note, the reason I am up this late is because I had to finish up some quests on my (and Ben,and E's, and a couple other fake people I've created) Castleville kingdoms.

  4. Welcome to the club! Don't feel guilty...you're doing it for the kids, right? BTW: Jack Sparrow looks pretty darn cute in the Lego version. :)
